Timber variety and finishing

If you are interested in one of our pieces, but in a different variety of timber, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Similarly, we are open to discussing bespoke finishes to suit your preferences (i.e natural, matte, satin, gloss). Note that the final price may vary in line with your choice of timber.

Care & appearance

Our pieces are designed to age over time and develop a patina with use, adding to their character. Please refer to each product page for specific care instructions, but typically this would involve simply wiping with a slightly-damp cloth (and never leaving the product wet). If you happen to scratch or scuff the item, get in touch and we will advise on a remedial solution.

Wood is a natural material; every piece unique in its grain, tone and colour. We believe it is in these imperfections that timber finds its beauty and character; we cannot accept returns on the basis of natural variations in the timber.

Warpage & shrinkage

Wood is a natural material; it shrinks or swells until its moisture level has acclimated with its surroundings. To account for this, our pieces are crafted from kiln-dried (furniture-grade) timber. However, slight dimensional change may still occur following shipping from our workshop and acclimation to your home. We cannot accept returns that stem from climactic or seasonal changes.

Returns

Our pieces are handmade, and the utmost care has been taken to craft them. Our pieces are guaranteed for 1 year against workmanship defects. If you should find an issue with your order please contact us as soon as you can. We are unable to accept goods back if customer alterations have been made, as it will invalidate this warranty.

‘Made to order’ pieces may only be returned for full refund or exchanged in the unlikely event of the item being found to be faulty. Please double check our product dimensions when ordering; we cannot accept a return if your item doesn’t fit through your front door (or in its desired location).

Refunds are given by the same method of the original payment.

This policy does not affect your statutory rights.

Lead times & shipping

Items marked as ‘available now’ will be shipped as soon as possible, whilst ‘made to order’ items have an approximate lead time (indicated on the product information section). We will do everything we can to adhere to both lead times and delivery times, but cannot be held responsible for delays which are beyond our control.

Larger items are typically delivered to the ground floor (curbside / front door) of your property only. When your item arrives, please closely inspect it and in the event of transit damage to your item, please contact us so that we can advise on the best solution. In order to keep your goods in the best condition possible during transit, they are carefully packaged to avoid damage. It is essential you keep the packaging until you are 100% satisfied with your order.

International Shipping (large items)

For international customers interested in purchasing larger items, such as the Giovinazzo Bar Cabinet, please get in touch and we will produce a bespoke shipping quote from an international courier. Please be aware that for deliveries outside of the UK, tax and import duties may be applicable.

Workshop pickup

For local customers, we welcome workshop pickup where possible (south east london). This bypasses unnecessary shipping and any risk of damage in transit. This option is available at checkout (we will help load larger items into your vehicle!).
